The laptops are from 2014 with 450GB difficult drive, 4GB of memory. Approx $100GB available.
Non sure how to do 'in-place upgrade' - are y'all given the selection when you upgrade?
1 of my main concerns is the hassle of moving all of my Outlook 2013 emails from my current laptop to the new laptop. I'm old school where the emails are all located in Outlook on my hard drive (non on whatever server or not in any cloud).
What is the most efficient fashion to:
1. Copy all folders from my sometime laptop to my new laptop? Drag and drop each ane to a back up bulldoze?
2. Re-create all of my emails from various Outlook folders (inbox, sent, deleted) to Outlook on the new computer?

I accept Dell Latitude E5440 (14" inc) version of E5540 and it run Win 10 without any issues. All hardware is supported.
Update = Replace quondam bugs with new ones.

-> No. Y'all copy the Outlook .PST file to the new auto. Information technology contains all folders, contacts etc. If you need more detailed instructions then the Outlook experts in an Outlook forum would help you.

After copying the .PST file to the new machine, you must link it with Outlook. The experts in the Outlook forum can tell you lot how it's done.
